- There might not be a cassette in the camcorder.
- Try ejecting and reinserting the cassette.
- The cassette tape might be broken, try another cassette.
- You might have reached the end of the cassette, try rewinding it.
- Moisture condensation might cause the tape to stick to the head wheel and damage the head wheel or tape. Give the camcorder 2 or 3 hours to reach a stable temperature before reinserting a cassette.

Why isn't there a picture on my CC6364 camcorder? |
|
Why is my CC6364 camcorder turning off automatically? |

- The small BRIGHT and FOCUS controls on the side of the viewfinder control the brightness and focus of the viewfinder. These controls have been set at the factory and should require no adjustment. If the controls ever require adjustment, carefully use a plastic screwdriver. Make the adjustments with caution to prevent damaging the miniature controls.

- Remove the power source. After one minute press the reset switch gently using a nonmetallic pointed item, such as a toothpick, until you feel a click. |

- The light that illuminates the LCD monitor gets hot. To cool it down, close the LCD monitor and turn off the camcorder.
|
Why is the rechargeable battery on my CC6364 camcorder running down sooner than expected? |
- Lead-acid batteries must be kept charged. Charge your battery before and after every use and at least every six months.
- Battery run times are measured when the camcorder is recording continuously. To check your battery; charge it completely, aim the camcorder at a clock, and record the clock. When the camcorder stops recording, play the last part of the tape and check the time on the clock. A one hour battery should give you about 60 minutes of recording time. In practical use, a fully charged battery might not record for 60 minutes because the battery uses power when you pause the recording and uses extra power when you zoom.

Why don't the colors look natural when recording on my CC6364 camcorder? |
If the colors don't look natural when recording, you may need to adjust the white balance, either automatically or manually. To adjust the white balance automatically, on the camcorder, set the POWER switch to CAMERA AUTO. To adjust the white balance manually, see below. Connecting your camcorder to a color TV may be helpful when making manual white balance adjustments.
- Point the camcorder at a white, flat object, such as a white piece of paper. To change the tint for special recording, substitute colored paper for white. The white balance is adjusted based on the color. For example, red paper adjusts for a deeper green, blue paper adjusts for orange, and yellow paper adjusts for a deeper purple.
- On the camcorder, set the POWER switch to CAMERA MAN.
- Press the PUSH dial.
- From the main menu screen, rotate the PUSH dial to select M.W.B, and then press the PUSH dial.
- From the M.W.B. screen, rotate the PUSH dial to select M.W.B, and then press and hold the PUSH dial until M.W.B begins to flash. The following preset white balance options are also available:
FINE - Use when recording outdoors on a sunny day CLOUD - Use when recording outdoors on a cloudy day HALOGEN - Use when recording using halogen or tungsten lighting
- Once M.W.B stops flashing, rotate the PUSH dial to select EXIT, and then press the PUSH dial.
