Troubleshooting the RCA RP5010, RP5010A or RP5010B Digital Voice Recorder
Problem:	Solution:
Why won't my RP5010 turn on?	Make sure the batteries are fresh and properly inserted. Make sure the battery compartment door is properly closed. Make sure the LOCK function is not activated.
Why does the display keep flashing when my RP5010 is off?	You may not have set the time. Click here for more information.
Why can't I record on my RP5010?	Make sure the LOCK function is not activated. Make sure the memory is not full. Check the total files in all folders does not exceed 200. You have recorded 99 files in one folder. Try to record in a new folder.
Why isn't my RP5010 showing the recording date and time during playback?	You may have not set the date and time before recording. Click here for more information.
Why isn't there any sound coming the speaker of my RP5010 during playback?	Make sure volume is not set to 0. Headphones should not be connected.
Why can't I edit on my RP5010?	Make sure the LOCK function is not activated.
Why won't my RP5010 activate after pressing on the keys?	There may be software problems. Press and hold RESET to reset the unit.
Why are the record able times on my RP5010 becoming shorter?	You may have set the recording quality to ‘High Quality’. Click here for more information.
Why won't my RP5010 perform playback?	Make sure you have selected a folder with recorded messages. Make sure the LOCK function is not activated.
