Getting Started Using the RCA VR5235 Voice Recorder
Unpacking your player:  You should have the following: RCA voice recorder USB cable Two "AAA" batteries Wrist strap Quick start guide Installing batteries:  Apply thumb pressure to slide the battery compartment cover, then remove the cover. Insert two “AAA” batteries (included) following the polarity marks in the battery compartment. Reinstall the cover. Refer to the battery level indicator on the display for battery’s level. Replace with new batteries when the indicator is flashing. Using earphones and external microphone: When earphones are connected, sound output from the speaker will be muted. When an external microphone is connected, no recording can be made from the built-in microphone.
General controls: Front Controls: <</>> – Skips to previous/next file; selects items in the menu; press and hold to fast backward or forward. FOLDER – Selects folders. REC•PAUSE – Starts and pauses recording. PLAY•PAUSE – Confirms a setting in the menu. Starts and pauses playback. STOP – Stops recording or playback. Quits the sub menu and goes to main menu. Left Side Controls: Mic – External microphone jack. Phones – External earphones jack. Play Speed – Changes playback speed. Dict/Conf – Sets Dictation or Conference recording mode. Menu – While in stop mode, press to access the Settings menu. While in stop mode, press and hold to display file information. Right Side Controls: << / >> – Power on/off; locks/unlocks player controls. - Volume + – Adjusts the volume level and AVR sensitivity. Erase – Erases files. USB – To connect the player and computer with a USB cable (included).
