Controls, Settings and Menus of the RCA TH1012 MP3 Player

General Controls:

Power On/Off:
- Press Play/Pause to power on the player.
- Press and hold Play/Pause to power off the player.
Key Lock:
- Slide the lock key to the lock position to lock the player.
- Slide the lock key to the reverse direction to unlock it.
Reset:
- To reset your player, reload the battery.

Change Battery:
When the LCD display "Low Battery", you should replace the battery with a new one.
- Pull out the USB cover and open the battery cover.
- Replace the old battery with a new AAA battery.

Menu Function:

- Shortly press M to enter the above menu functions.
- Press Next or Back to do cycle selecting of the functions.
- Press M to confirm your choice.
Note: Apart from the recording mode that denies access to menu options, you can make your setting in play, pause or stop mode. The digital player will return to play mode (the last setting mode), automatically if idle for 10 seconds in this selection.
Options:
- Music Mode: This is the default mode for the player. You can play MP3 or WMA music files under this mode.
- Voice Mode: Use this mode record voice messages.
- Equalizer: There are 7 modes for this setting: Flat, Bass, Rock, Jazz, Classic, Pop and Custom. When you choose Custom Mode, you can customize your own EQ settings. Press Back or Next to choose different frequency ranges. Press + or - to increase or decrease each frequency range by your own preference.
- Repeat Mode: Press and hold M to cycle the play modes. You can choose from Normal, Repeat One, Repeat All, Shuffle and Shuffle Repeat.
- Power Saving: This function consists of five different idle time settings. The player will be switched off automatically after the idle period to preserve battery life. You can choose from Disable, 1m, 2m, 5m or 10m.
- Backlight: When you operate the player in idle status, the backlight will turn on automatically for convenience of use at night. You can set the time of backlight if on, or you can choose to have the backlight always off or always on.
- Backlight Color: You can select your favorite color and the corresponding color will display when you are operating the player. There are 7 colors to choose from.
- Language: There are various types of languages to choose.
- Delete: Use this option to erase files. Press M to confirm selection of Delete, press Back or Next to choose Music File, Voice File or Exit. Press M to confirm. Press + or - to cycle between Yes and No and then press M to confirm. Press Back or Next to choose the corresponding file by it's name. Press M to confirm. Press Play/Pause to exit and return to the delete mode.
- About: Select this option to show the system version and free memory space.
- Exit: Select this option to exit the menu and take you back to the previous mode, either Music or Recording.
