Operating the AR ARM1 Lossless MP3 Player

Getting Started 

1. Connect your Player to your computer. The Player charges automatically every time you connect it to your computer. It should be charged for at least 10 hours before using for the first time.
2. Alternatively, you can use the included AC/DC power adapter (optional) to charge the Player. Refer to the User Manual for details.
3. Transfer audio files to your Player with Windows Explorer. Windows Explorer: drag-and-drop audio files to the Music folder of the Player. The Player is also compatible with most PC music management software.
4. Disconnect the Player from the computer and enjoy media on the go.

CAUTION - USE OF THIRD PARTY USB CORDS
M1 Lossless Music Player was designed to conform with USB Battery Charging Specification 1.1/1.2.  For proper and safe charging, the player will detect whether the USB power supply conforms to the Specification. 

If the third-party portable USB power supply does not feature a “Dedicated Charging Port” that conforms to USB Battery Charging Specification 1.1/1.2, the M1 Lossless Music Player may refuse to charge to protect both the player itself and the USB power source.

General Controls and Functions

• Turn the Player on/off: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
• Lock/Unlock the keys: Slide the HOLD Slider towards the Lock icon (Away from the headphone jack). To unlock, slide the HOLD Slider towards the un-lock icon.
• Go to the Home menu (to access Now Playing, Music and Settings): Press Return/Back to go up one level during navigation or return to last screen until Home screen reached.
• Navigate to an audio file: In the Home menu, Press Left or Right or |<< or >>| to select the Music menu and press Center button to go inside, press Up or Down to scroll up or down to the desired file.
• Play an audio file: Press the Center button when navigated to a audio file.
• Pause playback: Press the Center button at the playback (Now Playing) screen, press again to resume.
• Show the Option menu: Press MENU during playback (Now Playing) screen.
• Adjust the volume: Rotate the volume knob clockwise or counter clockwise.
• Skip to the next file: Press >>|.
• Skip to the previous file: Press |<< within the beginning 4 seconds of the current audio file.
• Reverse or fast forward an audio file: Press and hold |<< or >>| during playback.
• Delete files from the Player: Refer to Music section of the user manual.
• Reset the Player (if it is not responding): Press and hold Power button for 15 seconds to reset.

To view the User Manual directly from the Player:

1. Click Start.
2. Click My Computer (XP users) / Click Computer (Vista and 7 users).
3. Find and open the drive letter associated with the Player (i.e. AR PLAYER) and then open the User Manuals folder.
4. From the User Manuals folder, select the user manual for more information on the Player’s features, safety and warranty information, and answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s).
