Battery Installation Your universal remote requires

two AAA alkaline batteries (not included).

To install the batteries:

1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert the batteries, matching the (+) and (–) marks inside the battery compartment.
3. Push the battery cover back into place.

Note: Reprogramming may be required after batteries are removed.

Menu Function - TV, DBS, DVD

The Menu function on your remote is used to make changes on selected settings. The MENU key operates in TV, DBS and DVD Modes. Each menu varies from brand to brand.

The TV Menu is used to make changes in the TV settings, such as changing color, channels and timers. The DBS Menu navigates through the Guide screens, to make changes in the DBS settings, such as channel lists and passwords. The DVD Menu makes changes through the Navigation screens, such as languages and subtitles.

While in Menu Mode, these keys function as follows:

Using Menu Functions:

1. Press the component button whose menu you wish to access (TV, VCR·DVD or DBS·CABLE).
2. Press the MENU key. The menu of the chosen component is shown.
   Note: Some functions of some brands may not be fully supported.
3. To exit the menu mode press the corresponding component key on the remote (TV, VCR·DVD or DBS·CABLE).

Special Notes for Menu Use:

• In the Menu Mode of RCA, GE and PROSCAN TVs, pressing the MENU key selects the highlighted item. The numeric keys may also be used to select the menu choice.
• For SONY components, pressing the ENTER key while in Menu Mode returns to the previous menu.

Sleep Feature

The remote has a SLEEP key, which automatically turns off your TV at a duration you choose from 1 to 99 minutes. To set the Sleep Timer, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the SLEEP key. The indictor light turns on and remains lit.
2. Release the SLEEP key.
3. Enter the desired time in minutes on the numeric keypad. (For minutes 1-9, press 0 before the actual number). The indicator light turns off. The maximum time for the Sleep Feature is 99 minutes.
4. Leave the remote aimed at the TV. The Sleep Feature will not work unless the remote is aimed at the TV.
