Managing OneTouch Activities for ARRU449 Universal Smart Remote Control
The Smart Remote lets you create and edit programmed sequences for multi-step actions you do routinely in your home entertainment system. These programmed sequences are called OneTouch Activities. For example, to watch cable television with surround sound, normally you would have to turn on the television, cable box, and the audio amplifier one by one, changing the active device each time. Using the Smart Remote, you can program this activity once and run it automatically after that.
Creating a OneTouch Activity
	Guided Activities are sequences the Smart Remote performs for you to get your devices ready to watch or listen to a particular kind of programming. To create a Guided Activity: Press the HOME key. Highlight the Activities icon and press SEL. Press the Options soft key and select Add/Manage activities. Press the Options soft key and select New activity. Highlight Watch... or Listen... and press SEL. Highlight the device you want to watch or listen to and press SEL. If you're creating a Listen activity, go to the next step. If you're creating a Watch activity, highlight your display device and press SEL. For example, if you watch your DVD player on your TV, select TV. Highlight your audio playback device and press SEL. Press the OK soft key to accept the Smart Remote's suggested name for this activity. To edit this name use the arrow keys to position the cursor, then use the ENTER key to delete, the number keys to type, and the INPUT key to toggle between upper and lower case letters. The OneTouch Setup Wizard will take you through the activity with the remote. This allows the Smart Remote to learn how you have your system connected.
