Automatic Code Search method for Universal Remote

To program a component using the Automatic Code Search method, perform the following steps:  

1. Turn on the component you want to control.
2. On the remote control, press and hold the CODE SEARCH button.  When the INDICATOR LIGHT illuminates, release the CODE SEARCH button. 
3. Press and release the component button that corresponds to the component you want the remote control to operate.
4. The indicator light blinks once, then remains lit.     
5. Aim the remote control at the component and press and release the ON-OFF button.
6. Keep the remote control aimed at the component throughout the process.
7. Immediately after the component turns off, press and release the ENTER button.
8. If you do not press the ENTER button within three seconds, the remote control will send the next code in the list, and you will be required to start over from Step 2.
9. Use Code Retrieval to identify the code for your component for future reference.
