Why is the display on my RP5640 blinking? |
- The clock time blinks if it is not set or after power interruption (without back-up battery installed).
- When AC power is interrupted (disconnected) for a short period of time, both time and alarm settings will change (unless batteries are installed).
- After AC power is restored (reconnected), the Digital Display will blink to indicate that power was interrupted and you should re-adjust the time and alarm settings.

Is the RP5640 considered an "Atomic" clock? |
- No, it is not an atomic clock.

Can I disable the Grad-U-Wake feature on the RP5640? |
- No the Grad-U-Wake feature cannot be disabled.

Why won't the RP5640 allow me to change the time? |
- Try unplugging the clock from power and plugging it back in to reset the clock.
- When changing the time make sure you have the slider switch at the clock position before you press rewind or fast forward to change the time. The “:” flashes on the display in clock setting mode. Slide the switch back to Lock when finished.

Why isn't the radio frequency displaying on the screen of my RP5640? |
To show the radio frequency and to assist with tuning:
- Set the slider switch to the lock position.
- Press ON/OFF or RADIO ON.
- Adjust the frequency. The frequency should now show up on your display.

Why isn't the Auto Set feature working correctly on my RP5640? |
The Auto set feature means the unit was pre-set in our factory prior to being delivered to the customer. If the back-up battery depletes or the clock falls behind, you will need to set the clock time manually.
To do this:
- Slide the Lock/Wake/Clock switch to the Clock position to enter the clock setting mode.
- Press REV or FWD to set the time. Press and hold to decrease or increase the time value quickly. The “:” flashes on the display in clock setting mode.
- Slide the switch back to the Lock position.

How do I turn off the nap function? |
- Press and hold NAP until the green Nap indicator turns off and the current time shows on the display

Why does the user manual for the RP5640 state that an FM Antenna is necessary for FM reception although the mentioned antenna was not supplied? |
- The FM Antenna is built into the power cord of the unit. Fully extend the power cord for best reception.

Why does the RP5640 seem to be showing military time or 24 hour clock format? |
This model does not support 24-hour format. It might have taken a static or voltage shock.
To resolve this issue:
- Unplug the unit and remove the batteries.
- Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and then install fresh batteries.
- Plug the unit back in and reset the time manually.
