System Maintenance
Changing the Remote Control Battery: The 12-volt alkaline battery supplied in your remote transmitter should last approximately one year, depending on usage. When the battery begins to weaken, you will notice a decrease in range, or the distance from your vehicle that your remote transmitter will operate. Follow the instructions below to change the remote transmitter battery.
- Using a coin pry off the back of the transmitter (the transmitter snaps together) and expose the battery.
- Remove the old battery and replace with GP-23A or equivalent. Be sure to observe the (+) and (-) signs in the battery compartment.
- Replace the case backing, then test the remote transmitter. It is not necessary to re-program the remote transmitter after changing the battery.
Adding Remote Controls to Your System: The PROF25 / F25 has the ability to operate from up to four (4) remote controls. Follow these instructions to add a remote control to your system.
- Make sure the system is disarmed and the ignition is off.
- Open the driver’s door.
- Turn vehicle ignition on.
- Press and hold emergency override button. After 15 seconds, the horn will sound three (3) times. This indicates that the unit has entered the remote control programming mode.
- Release the button.
- Press the LOCK button (button 1) on the remote control to be programmed. The horn will sound once, indicating that the system has “learned” that remote control.
- Repeat step 6 for any additional remote controls.
- Turn the vehicle ignition off to exit the programming mode. Test all remote controls to ensure that they work properly.
Deleting Lost or Stolen Remote Controls from Your System: If one of your remote controls is lost or stolen, follow these instructions IMMEDIATELY to remove the control code from your system.
- Have all remaining remote controls available.
- Enter the control programming mode by following steps 1 - 5 of Adding Remote Controls to Your System.
- a. If you have only one remaining remote control, press the LOCK button on that remote control four (4) times, pausing at least 1 second in between each press. The horn must “honk” each time you press the LOCK button. b. If you have two remaining remote controls, press the LOCK button on each remote control two (2) times, pausing at least 1 second in between each press. The horn must “honk” each time you press the LOCK button. c. If you have three remaining remote controls, press the LOCK button on one remote control twice, then press the LOCK button on the remaining remote control once. Pause at least 1 second in between each press. The horn must “honk” each time you press the LOCK button.
- Turn the vehicle ignition off to exit the programming mode. When you are finished, the lost or stolen remote control will no longer operate your system.

Programming Your Remote Transmitter
Note: Each system module has four “slots”, or memory locations, to store transmitter codes, giving it the ability to operate from up to four transmitters. For proper operation, a transmitter code must be stored into each memory slot. When using less than four transmitters, follow the suggested programming parameters: One Remote Transmitter - Program four (4) times. Two Remote Transmitters - Program each transmitter two (2) times. Three Remote Transmitters - Program two transmitters one (1) time, and the remaining transmitter twice.
- Open the driver’s door.
- Turn vehicle ignition on.
- Press and hold emergency override button. After 10 seconds, the siren or horn will sound three (3) times. This indicates that the unit has entered the transmitter programming mode.
- Release the button.
- Press the LOCK button on the remote transmitter to be programmed. The siren or horn will sound once, indicating that the system has “learned” that remote transmitter.
- Repeat step 5 for any additional transmitters or transmitter codes.
- To continue to the Options Programming mode, go to Programming Selectable Options (below). Otherwise, turn the vehicle ignition off to exit the programming mode. Test all remote transmitters to ensure that they work properly by toggling the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons. Do not press the START button until programming the tach signal (page 12).
Programming Selectable Options:
Note: Transmitters must be programmed prior to these steps.
- Repeat steps 1-4 of Remote Transmitter Programming (above).
- Press and release the emergency override button. The horn or siren will sound four (4) times. This indicates that the unit has entered the Keyless Options Programming mode.
- Press the PANIC button to advance to the next feature. The siren or horn will sound a number of times to indicate the number of the option.
- Press the Arm button to turn the option on or off. The vehicle status indicator on the dashboard indicates whether an option is on or off. If the selected option is ON, the indicator will light. If the selected option is OFF, the indicator will turn off. The status indicator will turn on or off when an option is changed.
- When changes are complete, press and release the emergency override button to continue to the next option bank. (Siren or horn will sound five (5) times.)
- To reset all options back to factory defaults, press the DISARM button. Note: Option Bank Installer options will never reset.
- Turn ignition off to exit programming.
