Remote Operation for the Code Alarm PRO1000 or PRO1000SX Alarm |
|
System Operation Arming the System: Turn the ignition key off and exit the vehicle. Press the arming button (refer to multi- car operation to determine button function) on the remote control transmitter. The siren will emit 2 short arm "chirps" to indicate that the system is fully armed. A single short "chirp" indicates that one of the protected entry points has been left open. The siren will emit the 2nd arm "chirp" 1 second after the entry point is closed. Disarming the System: With the system armed, press the disarm button on the remote control transmitter. The siren will emit one long "chirp" (about twice the duration of the arm "chirps") to indicate that the system is fully disarmed. The dash mount status light will turn off. The vehicle can now be started normally.
Remote Control Panic Button Operation: With the system armed or disarmed. press both buttons on the remote control transmitter at the same time. The siren will turn on and remain active for 30 seconds. The siren can be turned off before 30 seconds by pressing any button on the remote control transmitter. |

Features Emergency Override Button: Only use the emergency override button if your remote control transmitter is lost or broken. Enter the vehicle (siren will activate), turn on the ignition switch, then press the hidden emergency override button. Vehicle will then be disarmed and you can start the vehicle. Starter Interrupt: When your system is armed, it breaks electrical connection to the vehicle's starter circuit. This immobilizes your vehicle, so a thief cannot start your vehicle even if he's gained entry. The starter is "locked out" simultaneously with the 2nd arm "chirp". Visual Alarm Status Indicator:
Automatic Sensor Bypass: Siren shuts off after 5 repeated sensor trips to prevent any annoyance while the rest of the alarm system remains armed and alert. Sensor bypass resets after arm/disarm. Last Door Arming: System waits until the last door on the vehicle is closed, then automatically arms itself. This gives you time to exit the vehicle without tripping the alarm. Audible Alarm Trip Indicator: In addition to the LED indicator blinking fast if the system has been tripped while armed, the siren will "chirp" 4 times, parking light will flash upon disarming the system (if the system has gone through a complete siren cycle) as an audible indication that it was triggered during your absence. Check your vehicle for signs of damage. Trip Identification: When you disarm your system, the siren will emit a series of" Chirps", if the alarm was tripped in your absence. To identify what tripped your system push the emergency override button before turning the ignition on.
Scan Deterrent: This alarm is designed to prevent any attempt by a thief to disarm your system by electronically scanning your personal transmitter code. Code Learning: Dealer can program system on the spot to learn up to four new transmitter codes should original transmitter be lost or stolen. Since new codes do not have to be specially ordered, your vehicle will not go unprotected. Automatic Rearm After Trip Cycle: If alarm is tripped, siren sounds for 60 seconds, then siren stops and system rearms itself. If a thief returns to try again, he returns to an armed vehicle. Continuous Open Door Monitor: If a potential thief attempts a break-in and leaves the vehicle door ajar, alarm sounds for one minute, then turns off. This cycle is repeated five times to draw extra attention to the vehicle while keeping the vehicle armed and alert. |
