Troubleshooting the TSP575 Remote Alarm System

| Why doesn't the siren for the TSP575 chirp when the harness is first plugged in? |
- Verify that the fuse in the red wire from the siren control module is in good condition. Replace it if it is blown.
- Verify that the connections of the red and black wires have been made according the wiring section of the manual.

| Why won't the TSP575 transmitter program to the siren control module? |
- You have only 15 seconds after applying power to the siren control module in which to program both transmitters.

| Why won't the alarm arm and disarm using the TSP575 keychain transmitter? |
- Verify that the transmitter battery is in good condition. Try both transmitters. Replace the transmitter battery if necessary.
- Verify that the transmitter is programmed to the siren control module. When the vehicle's battery is disconnected, or when power is removed from the siren control module, the transmitters need to be reprogrammed.
- Verify that the fuse in the red wire from the siren control module is in good condition. Replace it if it is blown.
- Verify that the connections of the red and black wires have been made according to the wiring detail of the manual.

| Why won't the TSP575 alarm sound when I open the hood or trunk where a pin switch was added? |
- Verify the pin switch is set to the proper height. The plunger of the switch must depress 1/4" when the hood or trunk lid is closed.
- You must wait approximately 10 seconds after arming before the pin switch circuit is activated.
- Verify that the pin switch and/or pin switch bracket is mounted to a grounded metal surface of the vehicle.

| Why won't the TSP575 alarm sound when I open a door that turns a courtesy light on? |
- Verify that the light selector switch is in the door position.
- Verify that the dome light bulb turns on. The alarm will only sound if the bulb turns on. Replace the bulb if it is not turning on.
- There is a 3 minute delay after arming, before the courtesy light sensing circuit of the alarm is energized. Make sure that the full 3 minutes has elapsed.

| Why won't the TSP575 bypass switch disarm the alarm? |
- The ignition key must be turned to the on position before activating the switch.
- Verify the connections tot he Gray wire, Black wire from the switch, and White wire from the main harness. Repair the connections if necessary.
