Functions of the Advent ADV10PS2 System
Front View:	Source Select (S) - PS2, AV1 and AUX. Cursor Buttons - Access Menu selections. Menu/Enter - Access System Menu and select items. Infrared Transmitter and Sensor Power Button - Turns the system On/Off. Dome Lights Three Position Dome Light Switch - On, Off or Auto (automatically switches the dome light on in conjunction with the vehicle's interior illumination). PlayStation2 Console Memory Card Slots 1 and 2 PS2 Wireless Controller Transceivers LCD Panel Screen Release LCD Cut Off Switch - Turns off the LCD backlit when the LCD is in the closed position. PlayStation2 Tray Open Button Disc Tray Open Button Reset - On/Standby and Reset Indicator.

Remote Control Functions
Battery Installation: Before attempting to operate your Remote Control, install the batteries as described below: Turn the remote control face down and slide the battery cover off in the direction of the arrow. Install two "AAA" batteries. Make sure that proper polarity (+ or -) is observed. Align the cover tabs with the remote control and slide the cover until it locks. Note: The remote control is not a universal remote control and will not control equipment from other manufacturers.	Remote Control: The remote control is divided into two sections, Dark Gray buttons on the top, which control the built-in PlayStation2 and Light Gray buttons on the bottom, which control the other functions of the unit.
PlayStation2 Controls P1-P36, Dark Gray Buttons: Note: PlayStation2 controls (refer to Sony PlayStation2 manual for details). Open/Close - Not used on this model. Audio - Displays and changes DVD audio options. Shuffle - Starts playback of titles or chapters in random order. Angle - Displays and changes DVD viewing angle options. Program - Displays the Program Setup screen. Subtitle - Displays and changes DVD subtitle options. Repeat - Selects repeated playback of all the titles on the disc, or one title and chapter. Slow - Changes to slow-motion playback (Forward or Reverse). Scan - Fast forward or fast reverse playback on the screen to locate a particular scene. Play - Starts playback. Display - Displays the Control Panel of the PlayStation2. Top Menu - Displays the disc menu of DVD-Video discs. DVD Menu Triangle Button - Selects the item to be changed. Enter - Executes the item selected on the DVD disc menu or the on-screen Control Panel. Title Menu Square Button - Selects the title to be played. Directional Buttons: Cursor Control - Use these buttons to access the menu selection on the screen. L3 Button - Displays subtitle options to select the subtitle language and/or turn it on or off. L1 Button - Press to return to the previous chapter or track. L2 Button - Press to fast forward or fast reverse playback. Select - Displays the control panel of the PlayStation2. Start - Press to Play/Pause disc playback. R2 Button - Search using forward playback. R1 Button - Press to skip to the next chapter or track. R3 Button - Displays Audio Options, press to change languages. X Button - Enter O Button - Cancel/ Stop Menu - Displays the disc menu of DVD-Video discs. Return - Returns to the previously selected screen within the disc menu of DVD-Video discs. Pause - Pauses and resumes playback. Stop - Stops playback. Previous - Returns to the beginning of the current or previous chapter/Skips to the beginning of the next chapter. A-B Repeat - Specifies a scene for playback and starts playback of the scene that has been set. Clear - Clears selected numbers or playback modes. Time - Displays the current title or chapter number and the elapsed or remaining time. Number 0-9 - Used to select numerical items displayed on the screen. Standby/Reset - Used to turn on, reset, and set the PlayStation2 console in standby mode. Press once for on; Press for one second for Reset; Press for more than three seconds for Standby.	Overhead Monitor Controls M1-M11, Light Gray Buttons: Power - Turns the unit On/Off. Mute - Mutes the audio. Press again to restore volume. FMM On/Off - Turns the wireless FM Modulator On/Off. System Menu - Allows access to main system menu for picture controls, FM Modulator Select, screen mode, etc. FMM Select - Selects the FM Modulator Frequency. Source - Toggles between Audio/Video sources PS2, AV1 and AUX. IR On/Off - Turns the Infrared Transmitter power On/Off for IR Wireless Headphones. Display - Displays OSD information. Enter - Used to execute a selected setting or menu option. Cursor Buttons - Use to access system menu selections. Volume (- PIX +) - Each time this button is pressed, the OSD will display the "adjustment bars" for Brightness, Contrast, Color or Tint. Once the desired adjustment bar is displayed, use the + or - buttons to adjust the setting. The display will automatically turn off if no adjustments are made after 6 seconds, or if any other button is pressed.
Wireless Controller (2.4GHz)
Carefully read the information before use. For detailed connection and usage methods, refer the Owner's Manual for the PlayStation2 system. Battery Installation: Turn your controller upside down and remove the lid on the bottom by pressing against the lip and pulling the lid away. Insert two "AA" batteries as indicated in the controller. Put the lid back in its place and cover the batteries. The wireless transceivers are pre-installed in the controller ports on your PlayStation2 system. Turning On the Controller: Turn on your PlayStation2 system. Press the green Reset button on the remote control if the PlayStation2 does not come on when the main unit is turned on. Place the On/Off switch for your controller (between the dual analog joy sticks) to On. The Power LED will illuminate green. Once the controller has been powered on, the PlayStation2 will recognize the wireless controller. The Mode LED indicator will illuminate red on the controller, indicating the connection between the wireless control and receiver. The green Rx LED on the PlayStation2 transceiver will illuminate a steady green. Sleep Mode: Your controller will automatically go into Sleep Mode after approximately three minutes if not used. The Mode LED indicator will go off. To reactivate the controller, you have a choice to press the Start button or press down on one of the joy sticks on the controller. Your controller will automatically synchronize with the receiver in the PlayStation2 unit. Turning Off the Controller: Place the On/Off switch on the controller to Off if it will not be used for a long period of time, this will preserve battery life. If Your Controller Does Not Synchronize: If the red Mode LED indicator on your controller does not activate, switch the controller off, wait three seconds, and switch it back on using the On/Off switch on the front of the controller. If this does not activate the red Mode LED, switch the controller back off. Turn off your PlayStation2 console and remove the wireless receiver(s). After this is done, reconnect the receivers, turn on your PlayStation2 console and turn your controllers back on. If this does not activate the red Mode LED, check the batteries and replace as needed. After checking and/or replacing the batteries, repeat step 2 for activation. Low Power Warning Function: Under low battery conditions, the Mode LED will flash and the vibration motors will automatically turn off. Vibration: Games with the vibration feature will enable the vibration in the controller. Vibration cannot be disabled. Safety Precaution: Stop using this unit immediately if you begin to feel tired or begin to feel discomfort or pain during use.
Source Features
AV1: The AV1 input may be connected to an external video source, video game system, or other audio/video devices. To access the audio/video inputs, turn the unit on. Press the Source button on the unit or remote control until "AV1" is displayed on the screen. Turn the video source component on with its power button or remote control and it is now ready to play the audio and video signals from the source connected. Note: The AV1 source is available only if pre-installed during your video product installation. AUX: The AUX input (located on the right side of the unit) may be connected to an external video source, video game system, or other audio/video devices. To access the audio/video inputs, turn the unit on. Press the Source button on the unit or remote control until "AUX" is displayed on the screen. PS2: Press the source button on the unit or remote control until "PS2" is displayed on the screen. Press Reset on the unit or remote control to turn On the PS2 console.
