Operating the Advent LCDM42 Rearview Mirror LCD Monitor

Using the System 

The LCDM42 is installed in conjunction with an Advent reverse safety camera.

• The LCDM42 will automatically turn on when the vehicle is placed in Reverse.
• You can activate the monitor at any time by pressing the CAM SELECT button on the front of the screen.
• Holding down the CAM SELECT button will turn the system off.

Adjusting the Settings

All adjustments are made with the four buttons on the front of the LCDM42:

• MENU - Pressing the menu button will scroll through the submenu items such as CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, VOLUME, V1 MIRROR, V2 MIRROR.
• + - When scrolling through the submenu the + button will increase the value of the submenu (e.g. Brightness).
• - - When scrolling through the submenu the - button will reduce the value of the submenu (e.g. Brightness).
• CAM SELECT - Turns the unit ON and OFF by holding down the button for 3 seconds. Once on, pressing the button cycles between the two video inputs (V1, V2).
  NOTE: The unit has the option of showing GUIDELINES on screen to assist the driver in aligning the vehicle when reversing. To activate the scroll through the MENU to the DASH item and turn it on using the + & - buttons. The DASH lines can be slid side to side using the +/- buttons when in MENU mode. These lines are reference points ONLY; they do not show an exact distance.
