Problem:	Solution:
Why do the parking lights flash but the vehicle won't start?	Check for correct starter wire.
Why doesn't the system respond to the start signal?	Remote transmitter out of range. Wrong trigger input wire. Check fuse in RED wire.
Why do the parking lights flash 4 times when trying to start the vehicle?	Tach signal not yet programmed.
Why does the engine start and then shut down?	Faulty hood switch or connection. Possible engine idle problem.
The vehicle started, why won't the heater/AC work?	Check heater / A/C connection. Check fuse in PINK/RED wire.
Why is the vehicle over-cranking when starting?	Reprogram tach Signal.
Why did the vehicle start with the hood open or the brake pedal pressed?	Check connections at hood switch or brake.
Why does the vehicle crank but it won't start?	Check for correct ignition wire.
Why does the system shut off when the brake is pressed or the hood is open?	Check connections at hood switch or brake.
Why doesn't the system shut off when the engine over-revs?	Reprogram the tach signal.
Why won't the trunk release output work?	The vehicle ignition is on, turn the ignition off.
Why won't the system enter the programming mode?	Check the BLUE/BLACK wire for correct connection.
Why won't the system acknowledge the tach signal?	Check the GRAY/BLACK wire for correct connection.
How to I program the replacement remote for my Surestart433	Press and hold the brake pedal. Turn the ignition on then off three times for three clicks then release brake. Then press and release the left button on the remote and you should hear a click from the module under the dash confirming it learned. Then tap and release the brake pedal to exit
