Operating the Code Alarm CA510A Remote Start Security System

KEYLESS ENTRY

The Lock button on the transmitter is used to lock the vehicle's doors, the Unlock button is used to unlock the vehicle's doors. To lock or unlock the doors simply press and release the desired function button one time. As a keyless entry system, for your convenience, the parking lights will flash once when the doors are locked and twice when the door are unlocked.

REMOTE STARTING THE VEHICLE

To start the vehicle:

1. Press and release the KEY icon button two times within 2 seconds (for optional 1 BUTTON start press and hold the KEY icon for 3 seconds). The vehicle will start and remain running for the pre-programmed 5, 10, 15, 20 minute run cycle. As a visual indication, the parking lights will flash or remain on depending on the setting by your installation center.
2. When you arrive at the vehicle, turn the ignition key to the ON position (not the spring loaded start position), then step on the brake pedal to disengage the remote starter. The vehicle will continue to run, but now on it's own power.

The system will not start the vehicle if any one of the following situations exists:

• The vehicle's hood is opened.
• The gear shift selector is not in Park.
• The brake pedal is depressed.
• The safety control switch is in the OFF position.

SHUTTING DOWN THE REMOTE START

To the vehicle, press and release the both buttons on the transmitter. The vehicle will shut down.

SAFETY CONTROL SWITCH

The control switch allows you to temporarily disable the remote starting function of your Remote Start system. To disable the unit, move the red handled control switch to the OFF position.

TO PROGRAM ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTERS

1. Enter the vehicle, and turn the ignition switch to the on position.
2. Press and release the valet push button switch 3 times.
3. The dash mounted LED will flash 1x, and the siren will chirp 1x, indicating that the system is ready to accept programming of channel #1 which is lock.
4. Press and hold the lock symbol button of the transmitter you wish to program for 4 seconds or until a long chirp is heard from the siren. "Repeat step 4 for each transmitter you wish to program".
5. Press and release the valet push button switch one time to advance to channel 2. The siren will chirp 2 times and the dash mounted LED will Flash 2 times, indicating that the unit is ready to accept programming for channel # 2 which is only used for unlock.
6. Press and hold the unlock symbol button of the transmitter you wish to program for 4 seconds or until a long chirp is heard from the siren. "Repeat step 6 for each transmitter you wish to program".
7. Press and release the valet push button switch one time to advance to channel 3. The siren will chirp 3 times and the dash mounted LED will Flash 3 times, indicating that the unit is ready to accept programming for channel # 3 which is only used for Remote Start.
8. Press and hold both buttons of the transmitter you wish to program for 4 seconds or until a long chirp is heard from the siren. "Repeat step 8 for each transmitter you wish to program".

Note: This unit will hold up to 4 transmitters.
