Operating Instructions for AARS30CS Remote Start System
Keyless Entry:	To lock or unlock the doors simply press and release button 1 one time. As a keyless entry unit, for your convenience, the parking lights will flash once when the doors are locked and twice when the doors are unlocked.
Remote Starting the Vehicle:	The system will not start the vehicle if any of the following situations exists: The vehicle's hood lid is open. The gear shift selector is not in park. The brake pedal id depressed. The safety control switch is in the off position. To start the vehicle: Press and release button 2 two times within 2 seconds. The vehicle will start and remain running for the pre-programmed 10 or 15 minute run cycle. As a visual indication, the parking lights will flash or remain on depending on the setting by your installation center. When you arrive at the vehicle, unlock it with the key or by pressing and releasing button 1 of your transmitter. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition key to the On position (not the spring loaded start position), then step on the brake pedal to disengage the remote starter. The vehicle will continue to run, but now on its own power.
Safety Control Switch:	The control switch allows you to temporarily disable the remote starting function of the system and moving this switch to the off position is recommended whenever the vehicle is being serviced. When the system is disabled, the remote door locks and optional accessories will remain operational. The control switch also allows you to select between 2 and 4 hour start up when using the automatic start up timer mode. The factory preset start up time for this mode is every 4 hours. To select between 2 and 4 hour start up timer: Begin with the control switch in the on position. Turn the ignition switch on then off. Within 10 seconds, move the control switch off, on, off, on to select a 2 hour start timer. Or, within 10 seconds, move the control switch off, on, off, on, off, on, off, on to select a 4 hour start timer.
Additional Remote Function (Channel 2):	This system has an additional feature that can be connected to a number of different optional accessories. Some of the more common uses for this channel are: Remote Trunk Release Remote Window Closure Remote Garage Door Interface To activate the optional accessory, press and hold the transmitter's button 2 for 4 seconds. Note: This feature has been added to channel 2 will always be activated using the same transmitter button that remotely starts the vehicle. There is no way to move the channel 2 function to a different transmitter button.
Additional Remote Function (Channel 3):	This system has an additional feature that can be connected to a number of different optional accessories.
