We have to know the Model Number of the Security System. Please follow the steps below to locate the system model number so we can be of assistance.
- OWNERS MANUAL
One way to identify the kit model number is to get the model number from owners/installation manual. If you don't have the manual, in order to find the model number of your alarm or remote start system, you have to find the serial number. - FIND THE CONTROL MODULE
EXAMPLE PICTURES
The serial number is located on the control module, it's a black box the size of a mans' wallet, under the dashboard, and it's usually on the drivers side, or could be under the hood based on where the original installer placed the control.
If you have an Older Model
On that black box is a series of from ten to fourteen NUMBERS. By giving us the FIRST FOUR of those numbers we will be able to tell you what model security system/remote starter you have, and what transmitter you need.
If you have a Newer Model
The serial number and UPC number is located on the control module on a barcode label on that black box is a series of numbers and a UPC Code. With those numbers we will be able to tell you what model security system/remote starter you have, and what transmitter you need. NOTE: If the system is relatively new, we will need the full serial number as well as the UPC code from the bar code on the label.
